After the latest Microsoft Office update - staff may have found that the ability to send FROM a specific address (other then their personal email address) has been removed from the interface. This option is still present in Outlook, but is found elsewhere:



  • This guide is designed for the perspective of Student Admin
  • IT will be required to provide access specifically


Follow these steps to "Send From" in Outlook:


1: Compose Email and Reveal FROM options:


  • In the email composition window - select Options (a) in the ribbon at the top of the window.
  • Then select FROM (b) in the options which appear below. 
  • FROM options will appear in the email composition Window



2: Select address to send From:


  • Select FROM (a) in the email composition window.
  • This will show a list of previous addresses that you have sent from in the past.
  • If the address you're looking for is not present, then select Other Email Address (b) in the dropdown window.




3: Search for the Address to send From: 


  • After step 2 part (b) - a search box will appear.
  • You can either enter the address that you're searching from directly into this search box - or you can search for them in a list by selecting the FROM (a) button.
  • This will reveal an additional search box - from which you can navigate through the list by entering search terms (b)



4: Completion:


  • This will automatically send your email to send FROM the selected email address.
  • You will also notice that this option is saved for future use under Send FROM
