It is very important for security and stability that your laptops is kept up-to-date.
This guide will walk you through the process of running Windows Update.
Windows 10 Navigation
Press the Windows Key and open Settings. If you cannot see this option, please search for Settings.
Once in settings, scroll down and select Updates and Security
Windows 11 Navigation
Press the Windows Key and open Settings. If you cannot see this option, please search for Settings.
Once in settings, scroll down and select Windows Update
Press the Check for updates button
Windows will start downloading and updating your laptop, if you see the option to install a feature update please so by pressing the download and install option
Once the updates have been completed Restart if prompted
Some updates cannot be applied until other updates have been installed first. Once your laptop restarts, log in and run the updates again. Please repeat the steps above until all available updates have been installed.
If all available updates have been applied, the Check for updates button will return no available updates.
