To find your serial number on a Dell laptop, turn the device upside down and look for a small black panel such as below 

The ST (Service Tag) number is the serial number of your Dell laptop

To find your serial number on an Asus laptop, turn the device upside down and look for a black panel such as below 

The SN number is the serial number of your Asus laptop

Microsoft integrates the serial number in Setting in Windows.  Press the Windows Key > Then the Settings Icon > In System scroll down the list to About > Scroll to Windows Specifications and you will see the serial listed for your Microsoft laptop.

To find your serial number on a Lenovo laptop, turn the device upside down and look for a black panel such as below 

The SN number is the serial number of your Lenovo laptop.

To find your serial number on a HP laptop, turn the device upside down and look for a black panel such as below 

The SN number is the serial number of your HP laptop.

To find your serial number on an iPad, Go to Settings > General and tap About.

To find your serial number on a dock, look for a black panel on the underneath such as below.

To find your serial number on a monitor, look for a panel on the rear case such as below.
