Bringing a Programme from One Timetable Period to the Next

When a Teaching and Learning programme runs over multiple timetable periods (i.e. Semester One AND Semester Two), then it will need to be “Bridged”. Bridging ensures that the Programme and its Marks book is then visible in the new timetable period maintaining all the data.

Follow these steps to “Bridge” a course. Note that this will need to be done for each and every course that you are needing to bridge.

1) On the main SEQTA Timetable screen, click “X OPTIONS SELECTED”, then on “Advanced options”. 2) This will show a couple of additional icons below each of your classes. One of these looks like a bridge. i.e.

3) Locate the class that you are wanting to Bridge with a different timetable period and click on the Bridge Icon. 4) A “Manage bridged classes” window will appear. i.e. 6) Click on “Select class” button and then click in the Select class window to show the list of classes that I can bridge with. i.e.

9) You can potentially do any additional bridging needed. In my example, I am wanting to only bridge with the class from the previous semester.

11) If you now look forward to the Semester Two timetable period on the Timetable Screen, you will note that the course you have just bridged shows icons for the programme and Marks book.

11) You will now also be able to do any needed programming in the “Edit Programme” section for Semester Two for this course.

12) Repeat the steps for any additional courses that need to be Bridged.
