Each class has a class notebook where the teacher produces and assigns work to their students to complete as per their class arrangements. The following guide aims to provide some basic troubleshooting for the OneNote application.
Notebook has moved or you no longer have permission to access this notebook.
You're notebook needs to be re-linked to your OneNote app. This requires closing the effected notebook(s) and re-opening them in OneNote.
- Close the effected notebook(s) as per the following guide. [INSERT GUIDE HERE - HOW TO CLOSE NOTEBOOK]
- Reopen the notebook(s) previously closed in step 1, using the following guide. (How do I open my class notebook in OneNote?)
If your notebooks fail to open during step 2, you will need to consider resetting the OneNote app. Resetting the OneNote app will cause any un-synced data to be lost. Treat this as a last resort. [INSERT GUIDE HERE - RESET ONENOTE]
Notebooks are not syncing.
There are a number of issues that can stop your notebook(s) from syncing. Complete the following steps in order to troubleshoot the most common causes for sync errors. Check your notebook sync status after each step and only proceed to the next if your sync errors have not been resolved.
- Check your internet access. When working from home, you should be connected to your home Wi-Fi network. When working from school, make sure you're device is enrolled and that you are connected to the proper Wi-Fi network (JSR-BYOD or JSR-iPad). (LINK TO ENROLLMENT AND WIFI GUIDES)
- Close and restart the OneNote app. Open multi-tasking view and "swipe away" the app.
- Force restart your iPad. Devices with a home button can force restart by holding both the sleep-button and the home-button. Devices without a home button can force restart by quickly pressing and releasing the volume-up button, then the volume-down button, then holding the sleep button.
- Close and re-open your notebook using the following guides. ([INSERT GUIDE FOR CLOSING NOTEBOOK], How do I open my class notebook in OneNote?)
