If you are finished with a notebook, or are troubleshooting sync issues, it may be beneficial to close your notebook.
Closing your notebook will remove the notebook from the OneNote application, but it will still be uploaded and available online. You do not have to worry about losing any of your work.
Closing your Class Notebook on an iPad
- Long-press on the notebook you would like to close and select any additional notebooks you would like to close.
- Press on the close button to close all the selected notebooks.
- Press "Close" on the prompt to confirm that you want to close the selected notebooks.
Closing your Class Notebook on a Windows Laptop
- Click on the notebook menu to view all the notebooks syncing in your OneNote app.
- Right-click on the notebook you would like to close.
- Select "Close Notebook" from the list of options.
Repeat steps 2-3 to close any additional notebooks that are syncing to your machine.
